New Student Scheduling
We’re glad you’re here! Follow the steps below to complete your New Student paperwork and schedule your first lesson.
BEFORE YOU SCHEDULE
Your first lesson is an Assessment Lesson.
All new students must book an Assessment Lesson, regardless of previous riding experience.
This initial lesson allows us to evaluate your riding ability, horsemanship experience, and individual needs so we can determine the most appropriate placement within our lesson program. For beginners, the assessment also allows additional time for instruction in essential skills such as grooming, tacking up, and safely handling a horse. Because private lesson availability is limited and group lessons require appropriate placement, new students should not book a standard Private or Group Lesson for their first visit.
RIDER WEIGHT LIMIT
For the safety and well-being of our currently available lesson horses, the maximum rider weight is 225 pounds. We appreciate your understanding as we work to expand our lesson horse options.
REQUIRED NEW STUDENT FORMS
A little paperwork before your first ride.
All new students must complete the following 2 documents. Please download, print, review, and sign both forms, then bring the completed paperwork with you to your first lesson.
Parents or legal guardians must complete and sign the applicable sections for students under 18.
Liability Release & Student Information
Complete your student information, emergency contacts, and required liability waiver.
Lesson Policies & Agreements
Outlines lesson tuition, scheduling, cancellations, photo permissions, and other important farm policies.
REMINDER
No Refunds for Scheduled Lessons
White Winds Farm does not offer refunds for scheduled lessons. Missed appointments and no-shows are charged in full. Lessons canceled due to weather or other qualifying circumstances will be rescheduled in accordance with our lesson policies.
