BOARDING

Our boarding philosophy: your horse is treated as our horse. Over the years, 6 veterinarians and their equine charges have called our farm home, and all have been overwhelmingly impressed by both our depth of knowledge and the level of care we provide. We are true horsemen and women here, having occupied a place in the equine industry for over 30 years.

We offer full-board care: clean stalls, regular feedings, and ample daily turnout as weather permits are hallmarks of the service we provide. Group turnout is standard, with Solo turnout available on a limited basis. We’re pleased to serve riders and horses of all kinds in the Raeford, Fort Bragg, Fayetteville, Southern Pines, and surrounding areas.

$600.00 PER MONTH, PER HORSE

  • Our farm offers your horse a safe and caring environment, surrounded by other horses and knowledgeable, proactive horsemen and women.

We have numerous pastures, with plans for more in the future. Our property features a lighted 110 x 200 sand arena, along with a jumping field and dressage ring.

Our barns provide a total of eight 12 x 12 and 10 x 12 stalls, along with 2 smaller pony stalls and a run-in featuring an additional 3 stalls.

  • • 2 daily grain feedings , each including a scoop of wet beet pulp, per veterinarian recommendations for our area as a result of the sandy soil.

    • 2 - 3 daily hay feedings (we typically feed grass hay mixes of orchard, timothy, and occasionally alfalfa)

    • Owner-provided supplements at the appropriate feedings

    • Hard keepers can be provided with a third feeding for an additional charge.

    • We primarily feed Tribute “Essential K” ration balancer and Carolina Pride textured feed. Alfalfa pellets are available for an additional monthly fee.

    • Stalls are cleaned daily, with shavings provided. Please note that especially “messy” horses may incur an additional charge.

    • Basic blanket changes

    • Full use of farm facilities

    • Tack trunk storage

    • Trailer storage

    • A final check is performed each night at 9:00 p.m. to ensure everyone is tucked in safely for the evening.

TRAINING

We take great pride in our ability to work with both young and older horses, bringing them along in a calm, quiet, and professional manner. Our emphasis is on instilling proper basics and the fitness required to progress through the tasks asked of them. We create wonderfully forward, supple, and elastic horses with body awareness and the control needed for whatever they’re asked to do!

Cross-training young horses is a cornerstone of our programs, as this produces a much more well-rounded, capable horse with a mind happily oriented towards both work and play. Older horses benefit enormously from training “tune-ups”, too, and we love helping them level up to the next phase of their riding career, be it as a pleasure or competition horse.
